Street Art Street

A series of street signs in Norwegian and English denoting specific streets as “street art streets”, I was planning to wait for the street to fill up then add another sign that read “quality street”, but maybe that’s for another time. Like the memorial benches before it, this project was initiated after a debate in the local media when the council proposed the re-naming of a street dedicated to the artist Lars Hertervig, which was fortunately dropped, but struck me that this is a form of “soft power” that also shapes wjho we are and who and what we identify with.
